Testimonials from our Safari Tanks customersI've had a Safari tank on my Suzuki DR650 for some years now, and it has served me faithfully over many miles and adventures.
Recently the tank developed a leak in a seam which I intended to repair by glueing or welding, so I contacted Safari Tanks to confirm the material used in its production. It was confirmed by phone that the material was PE and better to be welded using the correct rods, which could be supplied by Safari Tanks.
I left my contact details to be contacted a few days later by a Safari Tanks technician. Wayne from Safari Tanks contacted me at that time and asked me for some detail. I explained the situation and that the tank came with the bike, that it was elderly, was well used, and where the leak was, yet he assured me that it would be covered by their seemingly extensive warranty.
I was only expecting some advice, but was promptly offered a new replacement tank without either argument or solicitation.
I am extremely impressed with the aftersales service from Safari Tanks, their product and the confidence one may be assured of when utilising this peerless product. Safari Tanks is a credit to manufacturing and aftersales service in this country. Safari Tanks is a beacon of integrity and their exemplary product is a benchmark in the international marketplace. Well played Safari Tanks and well done.
Safari Tanks customer, Gavin Robertson, has recently completed a marathon 7500km ride through Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia and South Africa.
He and two mates rode identical Suzuki DR650s, fitted with 30-litre Safari Tanks and fairings.
As Gavin relates, there was plenty of rough going.
“At one stage of the ride through Namibia, we rode through some of the worst roads imaginable. The road had bad, bad, bad corrugations that carried on for at least 10 kilometres at a time.
“It was so bad that I really thought that my tank and fairing was going to be ripped clean off the bike. All three bikes survived and we were absolutely amazed at the quality and strength of your products.
“Well done for making such good quality products.”
We’re thrilled that the Safari Tanks helped to make Gavin’s trip such a successful one.
Safari Tanks customer, Rod Currie, has been having an amazing time riding his KTM through the Sahara Desert, through countries such as Mauretania.
Manuel Lucchesse is competing in the 2012 Dakar Rally on his Husaberg, complete with Safari Tank. Keep up to date with Manuel's efforts in the Dakar Rally via his official website.
I hit a kangaroo at 70km/h last week on my DRZ400E, which has a 17 litre Safari Tank fitted.
First, I want to let you know that I love my 08 TE610 25L Safari tank. You guys did a fantastic job with it. From the riding perspective, it's no bigger than the stock tank, with 5 gallons of fuel in it it handles easier than the stock tank filled up, and I've thrown my bike down the trail a few times already and there's no apparent damage to the tank. Cool, thank you :-)
I've fitted a Safari Tank to each of my DR650s and now my Husky 610. The build quality is exceptional and proven by the number of times I've thrown it away.
William Owen send us these photos of his much-loved Suzuki DR650 in the high country. It's the perfect example of exactly what the Safari Tanks brand means - getting off-road and out the back of beyond.
Hello Folks,
Congratulations because I feel (the tank is) well built. I am doing publicity and I know that other people from Italy ask for your product.
I am preparing for the Touareg Rally 2009 in Marrokko. In 2010 I intend to participate in "heroes legend" to Dakar. Thanks for your service, from another "happy customer" in Holland!
Patrick Joosen, Morocco.
I'm sending to you a picture showing your fuel tank during the 16th International Rally dos Sertões in Brazil.
Thank you for my gas tank. I have sent you a picture of me in a race in Ecuador. The race was 500km long.
Regards Alberto J., Ecuador. Hi Robin, Thanks again for supporting my request for a Safari Tank. The tank has been fitted to the bike and makes a big difference. There are no more fuel worries when I go exploring and trail riding. The size of the tank is just right and I don’t find it any trouble to ride with. The extra width is quickly forgotten. In fact it helped protect my radiators when I ran headlong into a pine tree! The front scoop part of the tank hit fair in the middle of the tree, and combined with the radiator guards, I came out of that incident quite well. Have you seen the latest Dirt Action Magazine? In issue 119, on page 112 and 113, I featured the fitting of the Safari Tank to my CRF in the Moto Manual section. Hope you like the coverage. Thanks again, enjoy your riding. Hope to see you on the trails one day! Best Regards, Mark (Max) Sullivan Motorcycle Technician Maximum Motorcycle Consulting
