Directions to change the gasket
The gasket can be replaced by removing the 2 screws securing the retainer to the petcock housing, withdrawing the petcock lever mechanism and then the gasket.
Replacement gasket should be inserted with the raised shoulder of the gasket facing towards the lever mechanism. Apply a small amount of lubricant (eg. rubber grease) to the surface of the gasket. Assemble the petcock in the reverse order to the disassembly steps.
